Tell me little bit about your self, and music you create?

Hi, I’m Adomas, from Lithuania, Now I’m little bit in a different style of music.
All what you hear in mikrokristal’s music is my past passion of chilled dancefloor beats.
Now I’m more in to beatless soundscape paintings, or very subtle idm beats with ambient flavor.

Where did your interest in music begin?

It, began in 2000 when i got Monolake – Hong Kong CD, and listened to it, and loved it very much, earler i had listened future sounds of London and ultramarine, which i also loved very much.

What does mean to you music you create?

Music allays is flight of your soul, or expression of yourself.

Who is your inspiration or influence in creating music?

Inspiring and positive painters and artists, nature, friends and so for and so on.

What are key tasks for Music artist?

Not to loose yourself in to disharmonious and destructive “music”.

What project your working now and when we will see your new release?

Now I’m working on ambient project “Chandanam”, The first release “Whispers of the Silent Colors” is released as a limited collector’s edition cd.

Tell me your plans for the future, upcoming releases and tours?

Sometimes it’s impossible to plan creativity, but i wish to play in some concert-like
event, where people comes to listen and to discover a new music. About 4 years ago
i have already got bored with parties and club-like events, and also I’m planning
to use some live instruments.

How you discovered idm/ambient music?

I fallen in love with classical music, eastern instrumental music, and sometimes a little bit of jazz like Wayne Shorter, and also little bit of ambient like Robert Rich, ishq and alio die. I like all true music which is made with love.

What is the best festival you played so far and why?

The best was a little ambient event here in Vilnius, Lithuania few months ago, with cosy atmosphere, and listeners who were sincerely aware of music which i played.

What difference between your music production and others artist?

I don’t want to know, comparing to other artists sometimes brings difficulties in creativity.

How you feel about selling music online and how you feel about illegal music downloads?

Mp3 never will be better than cd or vinyl, even flacs will never be better too, Holding true cd or good quality vinyl cover while listening a music on vinyl or on cd player brings very different feelings than listening mp3 or flac with some popular mp3s player. And some words about illegal downloads, i think if listener wants
to listen some music very much , but can’t find money to buy release, or even can’t find a release which is out of print, why not?, why we should restrict music from some poor but true music lovers ?. I think that most listeners if they really loves releases, they will buy them sooner or later.

What is your predictions about the future of CD and vinyl sales and if digital music will ever completely replace these formats?

I don’t hope so that mp3s and flacs will replace cds and vinyl, there are always true music lovers and collectors who really loves more physical format as a piece of art, than a digital virtual mp3 file which exists only in numbers.
